Travel to Lublin

Information on Warsaw Chopin Airport – Lublin connections

a) On Sunday, 9 July, there will be two special conference buses from the Warsaw Chopin Airport to Lublin as follows:
Departure : at 12.00 and at 18.30 from Warsaw Chopin Airport.

In the arrival hall there will be people holding CMFT signs who will show you the way to the conference buses. The buses will take you to Lublin and stop at the building of the Institute of Informatics UMCS building at Akademicka Street 9 where the conference registration will take place. The use of this conference bus service is free of charge.

b) There is a direct connection by commercial bus Contbus from Chopin airport to Lublin bus station. Passengers leaving airport terminal 1 or 2 should turn right to the airport bus terminal. Contbus buses are stationed at stand No 6 .

The ride to Lublin takes about 3 hours and costs 45 PLN (or 12 Euros). Tickets are sold on the bus.

To reach your hotel or the conference registration (see a)) from the Lublin bus station you are advised to take a taxi. Taxi rank is within the bus station. You can also order your taxi in English calling e.g., +48 815 333 333.

c) If you cannot use either a) or b), then you first have to go to Warsaw Central Railway Station by city bus 175. It starts right outside the arrival hall. Bus tickets can be bought either at kiosks inside the arrival hall or from the ticket machine on the bus stop or just on the bus (Polish coins only). You get off the bus at “Central Railway Station” after 22-27 minutes.

From here you have two choices:

  • You can take Contbus bus service to Lublin. These buses start from Hotel Mariott parking lot in short distance from “Central Railway Station”. The ride to Lublin takes about 2,5 hours and costs 30 PLN (or 8 Euros). The buses leave every 40 minutes. Continue as in b).
  • You go by train. If you decide to do so earlier you can see the train timetable and buy your ticket directly from here. You can also buy a ticket at the railway station.
    The journey to Lublin takes about 3 hours. Unfortunately, trains can be delayed because of undergoing renovation of the Warsaw-Lublin railway line. To get to your hotel from Lublin railway station you are advised to take a taxi. Taxi rank is just outside the railway station. You can also order your taxi in English calling e.g., +48 815 333 333.
